The Office of Information Services (OIS) is a shared service provider for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). OIS provides the technology systems and services that support more than 18,000 OHA and ODHS agency staff at local offices and facilities around the state. These systems and services help the two agencies determine client service program eligibility; provide medical, housing, food and job assistance; provide addiction, mental health, vocational and rehabilitative services; protect children, seniors and people with physical and/or developmental disabilities; process claims and benefits; manage provider licensing and state hospital facilities; and promote and protect the state public health.

Information Systems Sr. Manager - Finance & Business Systems

Job Description:

As an Information Systems Senior Manager leading a team supporting the internal financial systems, you will be trusted to work with the Finance and Business community to help maintain and improve the Oracle Financial system and other financial systems within GDIT.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team working in the Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12 (12.1.3, currently being upgraded to 12.2.12) environment including Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts, Time and Labor and other financial modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, PO).

This position will lead and manage a team of Business Analysts (BAs) and IT Software Engineers (developers).  You and your team will work with the Financial Services team and the business units and will be responsible for providing support and enhancements for Oracle Financials.  The BAs will work with the business unit customers to identify and define in detail the customer requirements for information systems solutions and then work with the developers to translate customer requirements into detailed technical requirements that are used in the software solution development process. The Information Systems Senior Manager of the team will assign work to the team members, support them as they work, handle the managerial administrative work for the group and participate in the actual work while acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Occasional travel may be required.  Prefer hybrid model based in Falls Church, VA. Remote work will be considered.

HOW A SOLUTIONS EXPERT / ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:-

Supports capture and proposal efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business by developing technical solutions for capture strategy and proposal responses to include authoring.


This position will report to the CTO leadership as you work on multiple proposal and pursuit teams in a tiger team methodology where a team approach cultivated leveraged in proposal responses.

The likely salary range for this position is $154,960 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

FinOps Engineer Consultant

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the cloud monthly budget and forecast process in managing consumption, show back, and savings in collaboration with accounting, finance, and technical owners.
  • Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast.
  • Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes.
  • Analyze, report, and produce meaningful insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools, data lake, CMDB, and other asset inventories as applicable.
  • Collaborate with Cost Optimization Engineers to track resource utilization to define and execute relevant cloud commitment plans and to define strategies to re-purpose freed up capacity.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi cloud landscape.
  • Evaluate and investigate data patterns to derive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Participate in business case development, cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and trade-off exercises.
  • Participate in automating, integrating, and maturing the Cloud FinOps processes and data.
  • May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

Electrical Engineer 

Prefer candidates to be local to Washington, DC to enable onsite work at USCG Headquarters, 2 to 3 days per week. However, fully remote candidates will be considered.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Essential responsibilities include: Performing calculations, applying electrical engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria to address technical issues identified during the design and engineering of United States Coast Guard (USCG) ships, and other marine vessels
  • Communicating technical principles directly to client
  • Performing quality assurance reviews of simple analyses, calculations, and drawings
  • Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.
  • Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG (United States Coast Guard) ships
  • Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance
  • Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFSs), Request for Waiver (RFW), and Engineering Changes (ECs)
  • Familiarity with US Navy, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations

Basic Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
    • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government.
  • B.S. Degree or higher in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, or related field of work

  • Meets required Department of Defense IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a mid-sized or large corporate environment.
  • Exceptional project management and leadership skills along with relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people.
  • A good understanding of SDLC process (Waterfall, Agile) and comfortable with tools and processes of sound project management is strongly preferred.
